This year's migrating birds have just arrived back in Alaska. Arctic terns, sandhill cranes, and snowgeese among others. There are roads right alongside both areas, hence the car sounds. Filmed in Palmer and at Potter Marsh in Anchorage during late April and early May of 2009 with a Sony Ex-1 by Dennis Zaki.

    Thought about adding music but the nat bird sounds were too cool. I'm a rookie at filming and editing as you can see but I use Premiere Pro.

    I takes a lot of practice to keep with them. After awhile you get to know their individual behaviors then you can anticipate their next move. The Ex-1 is a fantastic machine.
