aaaarrrgg!!!! i STILL cant do it. i can roll these balls for an hour and they still crack - they're not dry, they're perfect consistancy... i'm really thinking it has somethign to do with the type of fondant/gumpaste. mine is a mix of mm fondant and wiltons premade gumpaste 1/2 and 1/2. i have rekneaded, tried fresher mixes, rolled and rolled and rolled - my arms are killing me and it's not working any better than wen i started. when i get my other gumpaste in i will try it.

got it!! today i finally got it! my gumpaste just needed a touch of water! i just made your little doggy and it turned out fantastic! going to use it to put atop a cake for my son's school where the dog has eaten the homework! will have to share pictures when it's finished. thanks so much for all of your lessons. this pup is so cute i want to put him beside my bed and tuck him in for the nite! ;)

What a fantastic tutorial and so desperately needed (even though I didn't realise how much so!). I am ashamed at the amount of paste I have wasted due to it going hard and cracked!
