The documentary Built To Last follows the amazing men and women competing in a range of Olympic, Paralympic and non-Olympic sports in the Caribbean. Filmmaker Sanna Allsopp tells the story of how some of these individuals progressed to become household names. She look at well known sports people and the up and coming in a range of sports, such as athletics, boxing, football, martial arts, swimming, and cycling. The film asks, 'What is it about this region that produces so many incredible sportsmen and women?' The story takes us across seven different Caribbean islands to look for the answer. Featuring interviews, with Wyclef Jean, Usain Bolt, Asafa Powell, Shelly Ann Fraser and Yohan Blake and many more.
Built to Last will be shown as part of the Summer edition of Yard Vibes on Saturday the 18th of August at 21.15 hrs in MC Theater (Westergasterrein, Amsterdam, the Netherlands). The screening marks the Dutch premiere of the film.
