Its actually really simple. Its just a precomposite of text with a single camera animation, then duplicated w/ animated masks.

I set up my text in zspace and animate my camera to each piece of text. I then precomp my animation and animate a mask. Then simply duplicate the precomp w/ mask and reposition the mask, scale the precomp, shift the x,y, ect... I repeat this step to achieve the the "broken mirror" effect.

That is the logo. It's is a O,U and I, which is French for "we". It's also the missing vowels in our domain:www.dntfckwth.us. There's more story behind all of this which would make for a great motion piece.
