The Rio Grande Foundation and Drug Policy Alliance recently held a briefing for legislative candidates on criminal justice policy reforms. Marc Levin of the Texas Public Policy Foundation and Right on Crime presented his thoughts on ways New Mexico policymakers could cut costs and improve public safety at the same time. He also discussed some of the issues surrounding civil asset forfeiture laws and the need to reform them.
