Day 1: It snowed a little Thursday and Friday. I worked and couldn't get up in time for some storm skiing, but managed to ski Canyons on Saturday. I met up with Sam and his dad for a few runs on 9990. The snow was pretty good in spots, set up on anything with sun, and awful on the runouts back to the lift.

We hiked into the sidecountry for a couple closing weekend powder runs. Saturday was Al's first trip into the backcountry in 20+ years.

Our first run was in an area of Dutch's known as "Movieline." The snow was protected a little and stayed consistent and fairly deep all the way down. Al said it was his best powder run of the season.

Sam and I skied a second run by ourselves. We hiked out to Easter Bowl and skied some even better, more protected snow top to bottom.Awesome run to close out my season at Canyons.

Day 2: I made my way to Park City Mountain Resort for the the festivities. We drank some beers in the parking lot. We drank some beers on the chairlifts. Then we skied over to the party spot off Thanyes and drank a lot of beers.

I was told I had one of the crashes of the year on the way back to Cornerstore. I jumped a roller, did a shifty and failed to get my skis back under me in time to land. I landed on my tails and crashed. As I slid to a stop I lost my keys, my chapstick, some listerine strips that I didn't know I was carrying, my Kodak Playsport, my phone, my ski pass, one AA battery, oh and I ripped my Roffe pants.

At least that's what I'm told.
