Traditional wooden shutters can add beauty and elegance to your home, but they require painting and maintenance over the years.

In this video, which I produced for, we illustrated how to install shutters with fine historical detail that were made of Permex, which does not have to be painted.

The challenge here was to illustrate the step-by-step process of install shutters, while keeping up with the pace of a professional contractor who intended to get a house-full of shutters up in one day!

On how-to projects such as this, I tend to "back-write" the script, arriving with an outline, but then asking questions and following along as the contractor works.

Later, I write a script to match the action while I am editing the video.

Whether it's corporate or consumer, these "how-to's" are fun projects to shoot, because you learn so much as you are producing them.
