Stand for Children Washington talks with Seattle teachers and principals about the challenges and opportunities of the new teacher and principal performance evaluation system. In the 2010-11 school year, select Seattle teachers and principals began piloting a promising new teacher evaluation system, using the Charlotte Danielson Framework for Teaching and new measures of performance. Under SB 5895, signed into law in the 2012 legislative session, these performance evaluations will be considered in staffing and placement decisions.
