Looking for some sort of abstract verticality in the reeds... nearly fell in the swamps of Brooklyn while shooting this.

I think this really works! The music feels totally right with the image. I'd also like to say that your film with the boiler suit stuck in the tree was my all-time vimeo favourite of 2007. Hypnotic, random and beautiful.

thanks. Interesting stuff (difficult listening as they say). Must be nice to play with real instruments... I'm just screwing around with my keyboard.

Hadn't really looked a virb yet, thanks for the link

yeah, virb is pretty cool. unlike myspace you can put long music on there and the sound quality is way better. plus you can post 30 songs no matter how long they are. thanks for listening! Jesse Spurlin is a good friend of mine. That's how I found your videos. so you may see his video w/my music at some point in the future.

This was mesmerizing. I wanted to re-watch it all slowing it down and speeding it up.
  • Alex Itin 3 months ago
    that would be cool.

Oh man how perfect is this? I love reeds and they are so symbolic as our wetlands have just about disappeared. Love it- this would make a great projection don't you think? The Music score is perfect to this.
  • Alex Itin 3 months ago
it looks much better in full rez. I sort of liked this score... it took forever so many layers of idiot bells and things with my idiotic typing... so thanks.

I might do a show at Monkeytown in August... I'll project it then... any maybe some of your stuff... I want to show some Vimeo things as well as my own work.... blah blah community... blah blah.

delighted people find these old things... the internet has a short half life, but a long memory.

oh and it was all shot in Prospect Park if you can believe it.

people find things they are meant to find- that's what I've found... ummm hmmm lol (that's actually not bad) LOL
but that sounds like a great idea projecting it and l'd be delighted if you include any mess of mine.
NY has the some of the best trees and reeds- what's left of them. :-)
