The theme to Underdog as covered by Just Henry (Chris Callahan, Holly Callahan, Laura Brueckner & Benjamin Seeman). Written by Chester Stover, W. Watts Biggers, Treadwell Covington and Joseph Harris. Video edited by Mark Bowen.

Underdog, humble and loveable Shoeshine Boy's heroic alter-ego, appeared whenever love interest Sweet Polly Purebred was being victimized by such villains as Simon Bar Sinister or Riff Raff. Underdog nearly always speaks in rhyme, as in, "There's no need to fear, Underdog is here!" His voice was supplied by Wally Cox.
Underdog ranks up there with not only best childrens show theme songs, but quite possibly one of the greatest television theme songs. The song was featured in three different animated openings (all of which are included in this video tribute). The one which appears below featured Simon Barsinister in one of his many deadly machines. Another featured Riff Raff committing a robbery, while yet another featured an unnamed giant menacing a city. Of course, in each of the openings, the villains were foiled by Underdog.
