Last Tuesday I had the pleasure of visiting the Olympic Park with my family and so I share my short walk through a part of it with you. The army were really friendly and professional and all the volunteers are very helpful, there is an overall buzz to the place even when it rained that day, only one gripe 'no shelter' at all apart from McDonalds or the Megastore and a few umbrellas. The park was pretty busy but will be alot busier this week when the athletics events take place. We didn't manage to get any tickets to attend any events but a member of their box office team said that we could buy recycled tickets for £5 when spectators leave their game early. There is a nice place to view the big screen and facilities are top notch, overall a vast park and must see, let's hope it can be maintained and put to good use after the games. Look out for the opening timelpase which features the Athletes villages. When we left we made a short trip to the impressive Westfield Shopping centre which is right next door and has many of the athletes wondering around and finally headed back to Stratford Underground station and then home :)

All the steadicam and timelapse scenes captured with my iPhone 4S + steadicam smoothee and a small gorilla pod. I used the miniatures App but did not use the tilt shift, they recently updated it so I can now use the shutter drag effect and a smaller interval of one second. I used the GH2 otherwise which is good for slomo and static shots.

Music by Bands of the British Army 'High on a Hill' and from Ra One 'Bhare Naina'.
