I had to crank up the volume to be able to listen to the first part of the episode (the interview), but when moved to the second part of the episode (Sean's story) I can NOT hear what they are talking about AT ALL. The volume is so low, that it's not even funny. Starting iTunes playing at the same time, it makes my neighbors knock my wall, so I know that it's not my ears or my equipment to blame.
At this point, I really do believe that it is a good idea to over-crank the volume on your editor *to the max* EVEN if it starts creating audio artifacts. Better having audio artifacts than not having audio at all.
I personally need a new upload... I hope you have the time for it. Otherwise I will have to scrap my watching, as I've already missed this episode.
They uploaded this for us. They are not asking money for it. We can watch their work for free. We shouldn't punish them for their mistakes. There are ways to suggest things.
So, please, Eugenia, when you criticize the work of someone, is better if you measure your tone. Remember that a good advice is better received than a scolding.
Sorry for my english, if there is something wrong with it.
I hope you to be fine. I'll keep reading your posts that are a huge help for me.
Asdrúbal.
And before you start criticizing me about all this, I suggest you read the discussion here hv20.com/showthread.php?t=23551 and see what $%$% I ate in the face for supporting this effort. The "haters" of this effort are others out there, not me. In fact, all I have done since even before the release of this show, was to support it any way I could. From giving feedback, to hyping it on my blog. I even wrote to several scifi news sites to cover it, and even contacted the StarGate producer (which I am acquainted with) to let him know of his fellow Vancouver filmmaker and hopefully offer assistance. Naturally, I needed it to have a certain quality, because I believe in it. Trent has been really open to feedback and fixed most of the issues reported, and I thank him for that.
Now, I know that your comment is an accumulated reaction to my comments over the years on Vimeo, and not just about this single occurrence. Let me tell you this: I hate half-baked cr@p. Therefore, when I see some videos that are hyped but they are not up to snuff, I am speaking about it. I always say and write what I think: some love me for this, others hate me with passion. But one thing is for sure: I am not fake, I don't lie or sugar-coat my words just to be likable like most people do.
Anyways, I am looking forward for episode 5.

That reflection would be a bit tough to remove b/c of the movement through it. The simplest I can think of would be to create a plate with no reflection in photoshop, then match the movement to the shot.
