Did you use a digital SLR for this?
  • danLinfield 4 years ago
It was shot with a 3 mp point and shot.
Powetshot A510. Not bad for a $200 camera.

What software was used with that camera? or are you able to set interval shots in-cam?

do you happen to know the name of the softwear?
  • danLinfield 4 years ago
When the computer sees the camera hooked up, it launches a bunch of apps. The first one is Camera Window which allows you to launch Remote Shooting. That app will let you set all the params on the camera and then set it up to do interval shooting. I think the software only works with Canon cameras.

Lovely idea, but I could not sit there and watch the whole thing, I had to speed it up. Impatient, I know.

Absolutely gorgeous in full screen and the music is fantastic too. If you don't speed it up like one of the above commentors, you can see the lovely details like what appears to be a small spider web in the lower right corner.

I might have to try my powershot out for some time lapse, since now I know it can do such beautiful work.

How much real time did it take ?

Later Edit: Sorry, I've read the comments again and found the answer. Nice work. I tried to do that once with a photo camera shooting an icicle every half an hour.

It didn't work because the icicle was handmade by me since the weather didn't gave me any.

Wonderful and absolutely serene. It tends to be the simplest things in life, once they are viewed properly, that are the most beautiful.
