1987 CAT Victory - D/4/8 Cav

Presenting scenes of 1987 CAT and the victory by the 3rd Armored Division at Grafenwoehr, Germany. NATO's Canadian Army Trophy event, held every two years from 1963 to 1989, was considered the most prestigious tank gunnery competition in the world. Long-forgotten VCR-taped copies (of widely varied image and audio quality) of AFN, USAREUR, and Div. PAO broadcasts were supplied to 3AD.com in 2007 by Steven Kuhn, a member of the winning 1987 CAT team of 1st Platoon, D Co, 4th Bn, 8th Cav. Subsequent extensive video-editing with exposure corrections was by Vic Damon of 3AD.com web staff. With the exception of the opening, any background music was part of the original broadcasts.
