Mobile Literacy is a research and design project created to understand how mobile technology is being used by people emerging markets. In August and September 2008, Adaptive Path had two design researchers in the Kutch district in western India investigating the impact of mobile phones and mobile infrastructure on people in rural areas.
Over 50% of the world's population resides in rural areas of developing countries. The research findings and design concepts from this project stand to inspire designers and manufacturers to create technology that meets the needs of these people.
