Discovery Lake (more like a pond) is a short walk away from my home. My wife and son love to walk around the lake, stand on the dock or play on the nearby playground. While California coastal scrub isn't always the most beautiful habitat, I find the environment here to be very peaceful. There are migratory birds, tall oaks, sycamore trees and lots of people enjoying the fresh air.
