On 19 March 2009, Distance Lab showcased its latest work at an evening reception at The Lighthouse in Glasgow. The event was held "Open Studio" style with a focus on interactive project demonstrations, discussion, and networking between Distance Lab researchers and atteendees from a broad variety of backgrounds. The event was hosted by New Media Scotland and included brief talks by Distance Lab Chief Executive, Dr. Stefan Agamanolis, and Chairman of Highlands & Islands Enterprise, Willy Roe. A full house of over 100 people were in attendance.
