"After many months filled with waiting and hoping, wondering and questioning, smiling and crying, the Nolls officially welcomed Ashenafi “Asher” Eric into their family. The meaning of his name, Asher, could not more perfectly describe him—happy, blessed. He has a smile that could melt anyone’s heart and a laugh that breaks down all language barriers that might remain between him and his new family. After spending almost two years in the adoption process, Eric and Sara-Beth were told on January 8th, 2012 that a little boy in Ethiopia might await their family. Three months later, they received his official referral and on June 27th, a court in Ethiopia declared him their son! Eric spent just over two weeks in Ethiopia making sure the adoption process went smoothly and as quickly as possible. In a way, this was Eric's chance to go through "labor" with their fourth child. Meanwhile, Sara-Beth waited anxiously in Orlando to meet her new son and their three daughters couldn’t wait to shower love on their new brother! On July 12th, 2012 Eric returned to the United States with this two year old cutie in tow. A group of friends and family who had been praying for Asher and his adoption process gathered at the Orlando International Airport with “USA” and “Welcome Home” balloons to witness this sweet family of six come together for the first time. Asher exudes excitement and joy and immediately began playing with his new family and friends. Welcome home, Asher Noll."   - Leah Hauck
