A roll of bond paper, a staple gun, a shaky point-and-shoot digital camera. DIY media arts to promote a DIY media arts conference.
The 10th annual Alberta Media Arts Alliance Society (AMAAS) Conference returns to the streets of Edmonton.
Featuring the premiere of emerging Alberta-based films and filmmakers (Prairie Tales), workshops and presentations by internationally renowned Montreal-based sound artist Alexis O’Hara and Edmonton’s own world-renowned and award winning filmmaker Trevor Anderson, AMAAS Conference 2009 aims to expand perceptions and definitions of professional media arts and artists working at the forefront of Canada’s contemporary arts scene.
Conference participants will gain a unique experience to network with peers within the ever-expanding field of media arts.
