'Lost and Found' was painted while devising The Last Bock, a new solo performance by artist William Bock. The painting was made with indian ink and cotton fabric but as the fabric became saturated with ink and water that the whole image was eventually lost.
‘The Last Bock’ is a four year project that explores Bock’s disappearing genealogical history. It took him on a journey to Germany, Sweden, Mexico and Israel to meet his remaining relatives and paint their portrait. The artist is the last man in the Bock family line.
