This is a Digital Story that I put together for a class that I took towards my MEd at York University entitled, "Indigenous Ways of Knowing". It is a reflection piece that examines my childhood, adolescent and early adult perspectives of Canada's First Nations Peoples. It explores the cognitive dissonance associated with simultaneously inhabiting the spaces of victim and beneficiary of the processes of Colonization. It's a story about the "Indians" that I have been 'introduced' to throughout the course of my life and the steps that I have taken towards re-introduction and re-newed understanding.
