I saw this bridge from the other side of the river a while ago and thought it looked good enough to do something creative in its shadow and space. Thankfully, dancer Yu Shimomura was willing to meet one Sunday morning before the rain started falling and within two hours we had enough video, sound and movement to make this piece. All the music and dance is free improvisation, to which the train added its enormous gravity. The structure of the film was discovered in the process of editing it.
It feels rather openly narrative, something about a salaryman and a bit of insanity and the vague edges where noise, sound and music meet. But, mainly it was just a chance to play and move. That's enough.
