Finally, Saturday the 16th of May arrived. The first Friends4Change event in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. And was not ‘just another event’. There was a larger audience then we expected and that was cleary contributing to the dynamics and the very positive and relaxed atmosphere.

Ervin Laszlo presented his vision on the state of global emergency and the world shift. There was a lot of discussion on a wide range of subjects varieing from changes in the workspace and what a world shift means to sustainability and more scientific subjects like the akasha field.

The audience seemed to be well prepared and there was a lot of attention for the things Ervin explained (as you can see in the pictures, people were realy listening). There was enough room for discussion and questions and the audience did not waste any moment available.

After spending 50 euros for my partner and i to join in the event and sadly being unsatisfied by what i witnessed out there, i really have to comment what i read up here and give a different feedback to the event.

Lecture was short and simple, though interesting, but absolutely not inspirational at all whatsoever, a long listing of facts and statitics that most of the audience already knew by heart, hence the mergency to gather and debate in such event. However, it could have been a good opening to an interesting discussion with the audience, but unfortunately the lecture is followed by an embarrassing session of idiotic questions of the moderator, (which was msartly skipped in the video) which left no room in the tight schedule of the afternoon for any constructive and creative debate. We jumped straight to the "Practical part of the event" which was poorly introduced, messy and disorganized. Let's hope the next event will allow more in term of information and interaction.

    regards,

    Adriano

The first comment does not correspond with the way I experienced the lecture. The power of the lecture in my opinion was that it connected many known problems in one solid story, precisely the story that the average person must know about. The story didn't avoid the severity of the problem, but wasn't a doomsday scenario either. It was clear, balanced and geared towards positive change. Just what we need.

I do not understand why anyone that knows these subjects by heart would so strongly criticize an initiative like this one, as if writing a review for a movie. Let us put our ego's, likes and dislikes aside as much as possible, and work together on this. Only unified, with a positive and cooperative attitude can we make a positive change in the long term. Let's do just that!
