The last few days have been super hectic, The Daily Dump Snow Report is in full swing, Cassie De Colling the new Assistant Producer is settling in and myself im shattered after 2 big days filming at The World Heli Challenge.
Today we had much needed sleep in. We stumbled into town to meet up with another Australian, Nat Segal who is also our guest bloger
Nat’s a Freeskier and was one of the competitors in TWHC . Nat showed us about town and lead the way to the charity shop as we all needed to get frocks for the ION Showcasing awards which is a black and white formal attire event.
The Showcasing features an exhibition of photos and presentation of films as the film and photo crew battle it out to win cash prizes in the Canon Shootout plus the winners of the actual Heli Challenge get announced, The night turns into a big social fest and celebration to mark the end of The World Heli Challenge 2012
Over the next few day we will be rustling our edit together to try take out one of the film categories so a few endless nights await.
Wanaka was such a dream today, the sunset over the lake finished the day quite nice.
The clouds are starting to build up and we are expecting this to increase with another snow storm heading our way.
Tomorrow morning could be the last chance for some clear weather before we get dumped on again.
August is living up to its expectations here in New Zealand im getting excited,
stay tuned
