just take a closer look to the shadows on this one.
I did some tests within Element 3D and came up with an interesting approach.
The shadows you see here in the scenes are very similar to the area light shadows in 3D programs:
they get softer with the distance, they disappear when the objects have a certain distance to the ground.
Also the ground is a little bumpy.
AND: with the same technique it is possible to create a fake Global Illumination (GI) effect.
