Canon VIXIA HF100 test - zoom and macro
Just got my HF100, battery isn't charged yet so I was limited to filming within the tethered range of the charger cord.
Here is a quick shot of a squirrel outside my house, at maximum zoom, and a dollar bill on my desk, at maximum closeness.
These were imported into iMovie and then I cropped the clips and exported it at maximum.
Unfortunately iMovie limits you to 720 so I couldn't export at 1080 - guess that's how they get you to buy Final Cut...

7 months ago Yeah, I'm really impressed with the macro, you can be almost touching something to the lens and it will still focus. -
Matt Riley 7 months agoyeah I love mine. don't have any footage up just yet, but should have a short film soon. ;-) -
