DARFUR FAST FOR LIFE | fasting in solidarity with our sudanese brothers, sisters and children

Darfur Fast For Life is a global initiative launched by people who fast in solidarity with the suffering victims of genocide in Southern Sudan. On April 27, we began a fasting chain to turn the world's eyes and conscience towards the 2.7 million displaced people who are now facing starvation, and, to inspire our leaders around the world to act now. Launched on April 27, 2009 by Mia Farrow and DFFL activists, and followed by Sir Richard Branson, U.S. Representative Donald Payne, Jon Foreman and Peter Gabriel, the fast is now active in over 30 countries around the world.

We invite you to participate in a water-only or “refugee rations” fast to bring attention to the immediate humanitarian crisis in Darfur created by the expulsion of aid organizations by the government of Sudan. For more information about what you can do to help, visit fastdarfur.org

We call for the immediate restoration of all aid services and unimpeded access for aid workers to the refugee population, as well as a credible process with viable implementation guidelines to bring lasting peace and justice to Sudan.

You can make a difference. Please join us today at fastdarfur.org
