Witness how the Spirit is moving among Episcopalians in Minnesota.
Spirit of the Wilderness is the newest faith community in the Episcopal Church in Minnesota. Founded just 5 years ago by Layne and Rolf Lindquist of Grand Marais, who, after years of missing an Episcopal presence in their lives, ran advertisements in the local newspapers trying to determine if others felt a similar calling.
In short they were inundated with passionate responses from throughout Cook County and the rest of the United States. Included were three Episcopal clergy (The Revs. Mary Ellen Ashcroft, Jay Hanson, and Ervin Brown). After many e-mails and local meetings the scene was set and four services were scheduled at the historic Maple Hill Church. Great enthusiasm and assistance was provided by Trinity Episcopal Church in Hermantown, a Total Ministry parish.
This video was recorded on the deck of Rev. Dr. Mary Ellen Ashcroft's home in Grand Marais.
