Blender’s Curve-Tools are quite a powerful and convenient way to model all kind of things. Tubes, Lathe-Objects, Logos, Tentacles and many more are totally easy and fast to create by using curves. This tutorial shows you how to use the different types of curves, control-points and handles and how to use them. You will learn how to trace a logo and to give it some depth, and how to create lathe-objects within Blender and add some variations to them by using the lattice- and the cast-modifier.

Nice one, Sebastian! The lath (sp?) was neat, and using a cast modifier with an empty created awesome results! I did learn stuff from this tutorial, thanks ;)

What screen capture program did you use?
    Thanks!

Wow, awesome tut! Detailed, clear, and concise. Thanks so much for sharing. Now I'm having second thoughts, I think I'll try to adopt the curve-modelling workflow from this time on. Thanks so much! ^_^

Sebastian, this video helped me out greatly. Thank you for taking the time to make this, it was very well done and easy to follow. I look forward to more tutorials, perhaps if you were to do an in depth poly modeling tutorial.. *hint*
