Reverand Rosemarie lives in Brixton now but knows only too well about the devastating impact of malaria having also lived in Tanzania for four years. During her time there, she suffered from malaria many times over herself and tragically lost friends to the disease.
Now back in London, she raises funds and awareness to help save lives. In May 2011, she took up the challenge to Live Below the Line, and was sponsored to live on on £1 a day for all food and drink for five days. She encouraged others in her local community to get involved and even secured the backing of the local primary school! Today, she continues to spread the word to fight malaria. Many in her local community travel back to Africa to visit family and friends and by sharing her own experiences on malaria, Rosemarie helps make sure they know about the importance of getting protected before before travel.
