On this summer evening, we will be celebrating one of Calgary's most influential songsters, Nathan M. Godfrey, with an abundant bounty of song, food and drink.

Joining Godfrey on stage will be one of his very best friends, who accompanied him during months of travel in Argentina. Pablito Ferrando is a staunch driving force behind the latin essence heard in Godfrey's music, and on this night the two have prepared a trio, along with Jeremy Gignoux centred around accordion, steel guitar and stroh violin (re
spectively).

Last summer, after a series of filming, we categorized the Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra as likely Canada's 'most polarizing act'. Fast forward a year, and the growth in this Victoria, BC five-piece is beyond palpable. They have spent the majority of the warm months touring throughout North America, smattering the Canadian folk circuit, and working on a new record in Nashville.

Opening the evening off, a new project from violinist, Sarah Hamilton - who has accompanied Calgary mainstays such as Spencer Jo and Reuben Bullock. Joining Hamilton will be her brother, Patrick and an elite young banjoist by the name of Robbie Bankes.

Topping the menu, we will be serving up authentic, homemade Empanadas (courtesy of Nathan's mom), wine and varieties of Beer Growler jugs courtesy of Village Brewery.

IMPORTANT: We will be implementing a communal/environment-friendly drink system, wherein patrons must bring their OWN CUP (BYOC) and all Growler jugs purchased are refillable at Village Brewery following the event.
