Disney approached Sequence with a view to creating a website for the brand new Muppets movie, The Muppets, released in February 2012.
Working with familiar, well-loved characters such as Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, we rejuvenated the digital presence for these friendly favourites as well as new faces, like Walter, the World’s Biggest Muppets Fan.
Keeping the classic and distinctive Muppets style, we wanted to re-vitalise the characters in their first high-profile movie outing for over twelve years. We gave The Muppets a new online presence that was exciting and unique, whilst staying true to what families, children and ‘Muppet Enthusiasts’ (like Walter) love most about them.
Working closely with Disney we created a simple interface that would bring the content to life. We created a flexible content delivery strategy and a responsive design to work across multiple devices and languages.
In working to develop this new form of film site we have been able to build a versatile new home for The Muppets with Disney. Our aim was to deliver a fun, friendly user experience for all fans of the Muppets; old friends and newcomers alike.
The adaptive layout means that audiences can easily engage and interact with their favourite characters at any time, in any place and on any device. The new Muppets Movie website reaches 14 countries and three continents in their native languages. It can be enjoyed by adults and children alike and re-establishes The Muppets in their former glory.
