In the Chianti, just after the grape harvest, start the olive harvest.
It is the last hard job in the field till the end of the year.
After collected and while waiting for the olives to transform in to oil,
people usually prepare a meal and especially the Bruschetta (a piece of bred) to honor the new oil.
It is also a good oportunity to celebrate with friends, and children, the end of a long harvest period.
The wine is working in the barriques, the oil is in the jars.
