And with that, the summer season is over. I ended up winning the final round in the novice class and secured both the championship title and a perfect points score. Scott came in 2nd. It's great to have an Evans 1-2 finish this season! I'm proud of my dad for his speed and his learning this summer.
We also had brand new go fast parts on the car!
After the 10th round last month the tires were shot, so we got some better tires and did some alignment adjustments. We also took a good stab at curing the understeer in the car by installing a Perrin 22mm sway bar in the rear. These adjustments made the car much more neutral in the corners and provided increased grip via the tires (which are Dunlop Direzza Sport Star Specs). The sway bar can be adjusted and I think a slightly stiffer setting would be a good tweak, but otherwise this new setup is ver naise!
