Hi, I really love this, but I use a mac. Will this be a standard feature on 2.49 or 2.50?
  • Falgor 6 months ago
This will be in 2.50. Here's a build for mac graphicall.org/builds/builds/showbuild.php?action=show&id=974

Hi, and thanks for the link, but for some reason I cannot get the download blender application from your link to open. I also am not able to open the standard blender 2.49 version to. All previous versions including 2.48 work perfectly for me. I did download your link, and I did download the Mac intel version of 2.49. I am using a MacBook Pro 1.83 GHz intel core duo using OS 10.4.11 with 2 gigs of ram. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Hmm... Well, go to graphicall.org and just search for "Sim_Physics (volumetrics)" builds for osX. This thing will only work with the sim_physics branch builds. Not sure what you're doing wrong, but I know that you need a specific build.

It's realy something. Awesome work. Thanks for the tutorial. There's one problem I can't solve. When I put some object behind a cloud (partialy covered by the cloud) it is affectred by the cube. Also the rendering alpha channel doesn't look good. Do you know how to solve it? Will it be fixed in final version?

Hi! Grate tutorial! I'm very happy with my clouds... To TOM: Te object is affected because you have the alpha turned on (it's not working properly isn't it? maybe next release?). And "the alpha" not looking good might be because it uses the background colour, so if you have a black background you'll have black borders all around your cloud...
