Donte Whitner strong safety of the Buffalo Bills comes home to Cleveland, OH to celebrate his mother and yours! On Saturday, May 9, 2009 Whitner will recognize the sacrifices single mother's make as an effort to provide, protect, comfort, and love their children by witnessing what his mother and grandmother did for him and his siblings. This year Whitner and his mother Deborah will choose 10 women to receive all-star treatment. The day will consist of a luncheon, wine tasting, massage, a dynamic workout, and sensational speaker. This will prove to be a series of "thank you mom" events as an effort to show what single mother's sacrifice is not forgotten. "As a child I noticed many of the things my mother sacrificed for us. I know there is no way that I will ever be able to repay her for all she has done but that won't stop me from trying! I do know one thing, she loves to help others and I figured us doing this together is a great start. We are a prime example of how the sacrifices a mother makes are not in vain because I don't know where I would be without her and my grandmother." Explains Whitner.
