    great video sam

Could you run through how you process a photo from start to finish, mainly the Photoshop aspect. I'm always curious to see other peoples techniques.

    Great Video Sam!
My question is, How do you take your photos? Do you go decide you wanna take pictures then go outside or just take your camera with you everywhere and Snap....snap?
I find it very difficult to start photography.
    Thanks for sharing :)

Very interesting. I've never heard of those programs before other than Photoshop. Where do you get the TV shows? From a DVD or the Internet?
Can't wait for the next video.

I'm not sure but I think he said something like "Directory Opus" [pretentiousname.com/opus9/index.html]

Thanks for this video, always very interesting to see how others are doing it. You're essentially using three programs for image management, MS Expression Media, Photo Mechanic and Lightroom. Are you using all three and how?

Would be super interesting to see your flow from camera import through organization, editing and publishign to Web.

Great ... watching video while working ... I do that often but at the end of that day I end up not doing the job and JUST watching the video ;)

... I'll get a headache just having two apps for photo management let alone having three of them; But I prefer "Aperture" ... cuz it's fast and it's fast and it's fast! And it'll do 80% of all those things you mentioned in just an app so you'll end up using Aperture for most of your photos and Photoshop for the rest ... I suggest you visit your local Apple store and ask for a demo.

One more thing ... Webkit renders websites faster and better so I suggest you get Google Chrome or Safari ...

But it was great seeing the desktop of my daily inspiration ... keep rocking!

awesome walkthrough Sam. I always wondered about your workflow...so many apps i haven't heard of. that file commander looks so cool. wish i'd come across that years ago.

nice work with the Breaking Bad. I've been watching vids as well lately. My bro-in-law does that all the time and watches so much...he's got me started. I'm gonna start watching Ted online rather than on my iPhone...didn't know they were available like that

i'm surprised you've got 3 apps you go through. and the ratings/colours still follow the whole way through? do you have to save out the metadata at each step?

a few things I'd like to see answered:
    1) rating system - explain your 1-5 star rating
    2) this is most important - when in the process do you output your image. I usually have to output a 700px web version, a full size full res version, print version and when do you do your sharpening.
    3) how do you handle outputting for print with different aspect ratios? when i output for 5x7, 8x10, etc they're all different aspect ratios so I'd like to ouput one full size that i can use for all. do you just crop as needed from the full size?

maybe i'll just pop outside for a coffee and chat your ear for a bit one day at work. when you're not busy...haha.

Thanks for that great system you just showed ...
    This might sound lame...

    Hi Sam,

Love your work! I've got a 16-35 2.8L II lens and am particularly curious as to how you implement PT lens with LR and PS. If you could make a video on how those work together I'd really appreciate it!
