Joanna Angel interview - HD from Canon HV20
7 months ago
This is a raw clip from an interview with punk porn star Joanna Angel from an upcoming Halo-8 documentary about sex in cinema. In this clip Joanna describes the social impact of starting her own porn site.
The real purpose of this particular clip is to demonstrate footage shot in HDV with the Canon HV20. This interview was shot with two cameras, a Panasonic DVX100A and the HV20. I uploaded clips from each camera with a few different color settings from Magic Bullet Looks and Colorista to demonstrate the difference between the consumer HV20 and the prosumer DVX100A. The first few seconds of the video is the actual footage with no color correction applied. Read more about the test at videocinematic.com.

Pwrlogic 7 months agoi was thinking of buying a dvx to go with my hv20. Thanks for posting this. The hv20 shot is alot tighter so it looks better than the dvx. Wish you had the same tight shot with the dvx. At this point i don't know what todo. I hate not having manual controls on the hv20. a New pansonic gh1 will be about the price of a used dvx. I'm hoping that mnay be a better solution. Thx -

7 months ago Yeah, the test isn't totally fair. The DVX wasn't setup so well. But I think the test would have favored the HDV footage even if the DVX were set up better. You should hold out for that gh1. It looks like it might be the real deal. -

7 months ago No filters, lenses, or other accessories on the HV20. Just stock off the shelf.
