Molly Naylor: poet
Molly Naylor is a poet, playwright and theatre-maker. Her first solo show, Whenever I Get Blown Up I Think Of You debuted at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2010 to critical acclaim which proceeded an international tour. She was commissioned to write an audio adaptation of the show for BBC Radio 4, which the Guardian described as ‘a brave, funny, tough and brilliant piece of writing’.
She was also, as an aside, caught up in the London 7/7 bombings on the tube, but not hurt
Dieter Roth (the fruitmarket gallery is hosting an exhibition of his work)
Dieter Roth (1930–98) was an artist of astonishing breadth and diversity, producing books, graphics, drawings, paintings, sculptures, assemblages and installation works. He was also a composer, musician, poet and writer. For Roth, art and life flowed readily into each other and much of the material for his artistic output came from his everyday experiences.
Location: Fruitmarket Gallery 45 Market Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1DF
