Three friends decided to embark on an epic journey. In two canoes they set out on an unknown trip down the Edisto River of South Carolina. The Edisto boasts to be the longest undammed/unleveed blackwater river in North America. Alan Mehrzad, Jamison Forkenbrock, and Gordon Culp put in at Denmark, S.C. determined to row some 120+ river miles down to Edisto Beach on the Atlantic Ocean. They would battle harsh heat, fierce winds, and unrelenting tides. They would encounter all types of wildlife along the way including preying bird, conspiring turtles, camouflaged snakes, and vast alligators just waiting for an over-turned canoe filled with edible human lunch. This movie shows their story from start to finish. Will the three friends accomplish their journey or be lost to the depth of the harsh wilderness of southeast South Carolina?
