Adding new topology to a multires mesh? Sweet. Not sure how usefull being able to edit whilst playing back animation will be, but its bloody cool. Can't wait for 2.5

Once the Blender UI was known to be the hardest interface to master. To many, this reputation precedes this excellent piece of software. Blender 2.5 looks all set to erase that and enter the mainstream like never before.

The new look is bloody hot. Well Done! I also love the edit while rendering thingy. The old versions used to have its main window doing a blackout when a Render window was open

I have dreams of rigs that drive the subdivision level of the multires modifier, to automatically generate, display, and select proxy meshes. Would this be possible?
  • MTracer 2 years ago
Hey, as well would it be possible to use multires to deform a proxy and translate that into correctly deforming the highres? I'm thinking something like this:

    youtube.com/watch?v=3vrlJFOCbsM

Where the low-res version is deformed instead of high-res to maintain high-res details.
