An interview with Klaus Kaasgaard conducted by Tomer Sharon, a Google UX researcher, to accompany his book, "It's Our Research: Getting stakeholder buy-in for user experience research projects".
Klaus is Head of user experience design at Intuit and he was recently appointed adjunct professor at the University of Aalborg, Denmark. Earlier in his career, he spent almost 7 years at Yahoo! in various user experience roles before he ventured to Sydney, Australia to head up UX at Telstra. Missing the culture of Silicon Valley, he returned in 2010 and before joining Intuit in 2012 led a start-up (Fundii).
With 20+ years experience in the user experience field, Klaus is known to push the boundaries of the discipline and to sometimes provide a critical voice in the community about how we view ourselves and our relationship to other disciplines. All with good intent though, he assures us.
