In this autobiographical film poem, Spanish poet Leonor M. J. and American filmmaker Alan Spearman collaborate on a common quest to understand the past, present and future of their connection. The two friends each lost someone to death and despite being separated by an ocean and by the passing of a dozen years they agreed that there was more to discover. They had a reunion at Eduardo Chillida’s sculpture "The Wind Comb" in San Sebastian, Spain. Madre is the result of the journey.
