I'm shooting around the point at the lake during sunrise. The camera is attached to a long wooden boom that allows me to move the camera in ways I've never been able to move it before and gives me a wonderful increases in reach. This is my first boom sequence and I am using a cedar 1x2 about 10 or 12 feet long. I'm afraid I'm a bit shaky and the boom jiggles a bit and I'm just not very accustomed to working in this way, but I did find that by moving my grip to closer to the centre, near the balance point, I was able to move the camera with more smoothness and control, something I have been trying to get better at in recent videos.
