The 9th Annual Burn Mtn. Bike Race was hosted by Bikerumor.com at the Kerr Scott Reservoir in Wilkesboro, NC over the weekend of May 23 & 24, 2009. The race is a 24 hour competition where both individuals and teams compete for the most laps completed in the 24 hour period. 351 riders participated in this year's event and the good weather provided great conditions for a fast trail. The trail that the race takes place on is The Dark Mountain Trail which was designed and is maintained by the Brushy Mountain Cyclists Club.
