For the first time for me, I actually had some friends thank me personally for my time in service & the troubles I've endured since then. Have had to deal with service-related cancer with a slew of issues stemming off past treatments for it. Been a rough ride so far, but I'd serve again if I could or had to :)
Thank you for your kind comment on the tribute. After paying my respects at the cemetery on Memorial Day, I was struck by how many people were doing the same thing and as you said there does in fact seem to be a wider sense of patriotism in the country. I decided to grab some video footage and make a short movie showing just how much the people in our area of the country appreciate those that have sacrificed their lives for their country and those vets, past and present, vets just like you who have served their country. This tribute is for you Bob. Thank you for your service to our country. I hope you beat your cancer, Bob.
