The annual Victory in Europe (V-E) Day commemoration ceremony took place on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at 2pm at Veterans Park, which is located next to the library at 5851 Cavendish Blvd.
The annual event is organized by the Brigadier Frederick Kisch Branch 97 of the Royal Canadian Legion and the City of Côte Saint-Luc.

V-E Day was May 7 and May 8, 1945, the dates when the Second World War Allies formally accepted the unconditional surrender of the armed forces of Nazi Germany.

La cérémonie commémorative annuelle de la Victoire en Europe aura lieu à 14 h, le dimanche 3 mai 2009, au parc des Vétérans situé à côté de la bibliothèque, au 5851 boul. Cavendish.

La célébration du jour de la Victoire en Europe rappelle les 7 et 8 mai 1945, dates où les alliés de la Seconde Guerre mondiale ont officiellement accepté la capitulation sans condition des forces armées de l’Allemagne nazie.
