Short video of Edinburgh produced by Walid Salhab, Lecturer in Media Practice, Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

This time-lapse video is part of Walid Salhab’s ongoing video production research. It is made up of thousands of individual images - mostly stop-motion combined with a little time-lapse photography. Many different Edinburgh locations are used in the film including Queen Margaret University, Dean Village, the Balmoral Hotel and Princes Street. The film also shows extracts from Speed of Light which recently took place on Arthur’s Seat as part of the Edinburgh International Festival.

This video is an initial research exercise. It has allowed Walid to trial new techniques which he intends to use in his next short film. We are delighted that he has shared the first results of his work with us.
