MochaImport Tutorial for After Effects
In this tutorial I explain how to use my free After Effects script MochaImport which simplifies the usage of MochaAE with After Effects.
With the script the following tasks can be done as one click operations:
- create corner pin
- create CC power pin
- create AE trackpoints from Mocha track
- stabilize footage
- move layers according to track
- create a precomp in which the footage is stabilized while maintaining the movement in the original composition.

KeyTweak script download page gives this missing message in your blog:
"Sorry, the page you were looking for in the blog AExtensions does not exist."
Is that ok or is it an error?
Thanks
Great script thank you very much for making things so easy.
I am having trouble getting the precomp option using transform data to work... there doesn't seem to be a scale track and untrack.
Here is an expression I use to manually untrack scale
m=100/comp(”yourPreComp”).layer(”originalLayer”.transform.scale[0];
value*m
(pasted to the precomp nested in the final comp).
Maybe you already have it in the script but I can't find it...
ANyway, keep up the great work!!!
Best
Tim
Do you want to manually modify the scale in the precomp and need the expression to take care of that? Or does it simply not work for you as shown in the tutorial? If the latter is the case, you would best send me the mocha data you use, and a screenshot of your project or maybe even the project file. Then I can take a look at it and figure out where the problem is.·
What a great work you did there.
Thanks a lot, will try that later!
