Found this via Kevin's really interesting Random talk with Tim Ferris on Tim's blog. Hope you guys keep that up.
I got introduced to this last year by my brother, who was such a fan, from his time in Japan, that he set up his own company, Koyumatcha.com. He works with Aiya, the company mentioned in the video, as it happens. Can't believe I may actually have heard about something cool like this before Kevin did - though, that's making the dangerous presumption he's only just started using it.
I can't say enough for matcha so I won't even start except to say that this stuff is incredibly good for you in ways you will notice immediately.
To answer ActionsTalk's pricing question, this is the tea to end all teas so it's not exactly cheap. I pay between 18 and 30 euros per tin, depending on the grade. But you get about 40 servings out of it so it actually works out ok.
Hope this doesn't come off as spammy - please remove if it does. Just thought someone might find the info useful.
Thank you Glenn and Vincent O'Keeffe for your generous info. I'm a huge fan of Tea and i'm gonna have to find some of this matcha tea now for sure. thanks guys.
Hey Morris, seeing as you asked about the shake thing, here's how to make it and a bunch of other matcha beverages: koyumatcha.com/wp/matcha/preparation/lattes-frappes/. There's also a video of how to make matcha lattes - my usual matcha intake modality.
To save me posting links that may be considered self-serving, I'll just say to anyone else looking for info, there's a whole bunch of good content on the site if you're looking for details on matcha health benefits, preparation, cultivation or anything else.
That's it! I'm done.
